A Beginner Pikler Triangle for First Climbers
The Maple is a 5-in-1 Pikler triangle climbing set built for the youngest climbers. At just over 17 inches tall, the triangle is low enough for a one-year-old to pull up, step and climb with confidence, and the slide, climbing ramp and rocker give them new challenges as their skills grow. It suits children from 1 to 5 years old.
Five Ways to Play
Triangle ladder: For pulling up, stepping and first climbs.
Slide: Attaches to the triangle for a gentle first slide.
Rock climber: Adds grips for a more challenging climb.
Arch ramp: For crawling, climbing and tunneling underneath.
Rocker: For rocking, balancing and quiet play.
Montessori Movement From the Start
Pikler climbers are built on the idea that children learn movement best by leading it themselves. The Maple lets little ones choose when to climb, how high to go and when to come down, building gross motor skills, balance and confidence while they learn their own limits in a safe way. Between climbs, it becomes a castle, a car garage or whatever they imagine.
Safe, Simple Materials
The Maple is crafted from sturdy New Zealand pine and finished with a BPA-free, odorless paint. It holds up to 88 pounds per child and 132 pounds in total, and it is covered by our five-year warranty.

We love our maple climber! It was the perfect Christmas gift and our 1 year old and five year old love it! It’s great for a new explorer. We look forward to a larger one in the future, but for now we will get lots of use out of it for our growing kiddo.

Very impressed with the quality. I purchased for our 14 month old daughter for Christmas so she obviously hasn’t played on it yet, but it is very sturdy, the rails don’t move at all. It is even and does not have any wobble on the floor. Purchased on Thanksgiving day and it was delivered 3 days later. Highly recommend for a small version of the Pikler set

We just put our Maple together and are loving it! It was very straightforward to put together. It took about 25 minutes. Both my husband and I were working together though. Our little climbing toddler hasn’t stopped playing on it. It seems very sturdy. Our older children (3 and 5) are enjoying it too. I would definitely get the bigger sized Hazel if I was buying for my older kids though. It’s perfectly sized for my 1 year old though. Seems very sturdy. I’m very impressed and have zero complaints.

The middle piece (the climber / slide / table) is not a wide as the supporting pieces. It shifts and creates an opportunity for pinched fingers. Otherwise, it is solidly-made and easy to assemble.

Sweet play set! The product arrived quickly, was reasonable to assemble, if not tedious, and the 10-month-old is finding fun ways to pull himself up and explore. I like that it will last and can be set up in different ways to accomodate his development.

8 month old initially didn’t show too much interest but as the weeks went on he started climbing on it. Now a month later he loves it! Helps him get practice standing while he looks at books and plays with toys too, which we put on the tabletop. And of course he climbs on both sides. I think this is best for a baby because in a year he can play on the playground but for now he needs something a little smaller and safer to practice on.
