Once your child starts crawling, they are ready to climb. It's 100% natural and something humans are designed to do, even before we begin walking. The rocker allows for both of your child's hands and feet to be active, making the experience more organic. Children will intuitively know what to do without prior introduction or practice.

  • 2-in-1 Design: A rocking boat on one side and a stepped climbing bridge on the other.
  • Rock Together: Seats up to 3 kids, holding 220 lbs total.
  • Classroom-Ready: Solid wood built for ages 1 and up and all-day use.

Two Favorites in One Solid Wood Piece

The Avenlur Rowan is a 2-in-1 rocking boat and climbing bridge. Flip it one way and up to three kids can rock together, giggling as they find their rhythm. Flip it over and it becomes a stepped bridge to climb up, step down and cross. It's made for toddlers through big kids, and at home in a playroom or a classroom.

Two Ways to Play

  • Rocking boat: Seats up to three children for cooperative rocking that builds balance and core strength.

  • Climbing bridge: Graduated steps to climb and cross, building leg strength, coordination and confidence.

Why Families and Teachers Choose the Rowan

  • Fully reversible: One flip switches between boat and bridge, no tools or instructions needed.

  • Built for groups: Holds 110 pounds per child and 220 pounds total.

  • Grows with them: Sized for ages 1 and up and engaging into the early school years.

  • Classroom-ready: Solid wood construction made to take turns all day.

Movement Kids Are Wired For

Rocking, climbing and balancing come naturally to young children, and the Rowan gives them a place to do all three. Rocking together also teaches give-and-take, as kids learn to move in rhythm with their friends. Pair it with our Pikler triangles, arches and rockers for a full Montessori movement space.
