A Toddler Swing Set Sized for Small Yards

The Forest Small is a compact wooden toddler swing set that brings a playhouse, a slide and swings together in one set, sized for the spaces families actually have: patios, decks, small gardens and compact backyards. It's the smaller sibling of our Forest swing set, made for little ones taking their first climbs and swings.

What's Included

  • Playhouse tower: With windows for peekaboo and pretend play.

  • Slide: Low enough for toddlers to manage.

  • Swing beam: Room for two swings side by side.

  • Belt swing: For when they're ready for a big-kid seat.

A Small Swing Set That Grows With Them

The Forest Small is built for children from age 1, with a low playhouse and a slide little ones can handle. For the youngest riders, add the baby swing seat for the Forest Small, then swap to the belt swing on the same beam as they grow. With two swing spots, it's a swing set with a baby swing and a big-kid swing at the same time.

Made for Small Spaces

The playhouse tower measures 69.2 x 69.2 x 78 inches, and the full set with the swing beam is 153.3 inches long. Plan for about 6 feet of clear space around the set, in front of and behind the swings, and at the bottom of the slide.

Built for the Outdoors

The Forest Small is made from solid wood. Place it on level ground with a shock-absorbing surface underneath, such as wood chips, rubber mulch or sand at least 9 inches deep, and always supervise young children.

This is the perfect little set for our youngest two! Aged 1 and 3. They love swinging, climbing, sliding and playing peek-a-boo on it. It took us a a few hours to put it together, everything was well made and instructions were very clear. Highly recommend! We also got the infant swing but it’s not pictured because I edited out my son.

I cannot say more good things about the customer service I received from Myla. I was in a panic because unfortunately my order arrived and the condition let’s just say was really really bad. I called and emailed customer service worried that parts might be missing or damaged so to the giant holes that were in the boxes when it arrived. Myla called me back, calmed me down And took amazing care of me! I am happy to say that nothing was broken or missing and my 17 month old is loving his new play set. Soo glad we made this purchase !

Overall looks nice and my kids enjoy it. The plastic is sturdy and the paint/stain on the wood was done well. Had to drill out a hole or two that the factory missed, and had a board split because it was cupped badly also the ground anchors it came with were not the best, a hex head anchor would be better for install so that you don’t have to move the fully assembled unit. Also the directions could use some work, in the picture I attached if you follow those directions your screw will contact another screw and cause the wood to crack(this is what I get for following directions and not my gut). Also some more labeling of parts in the diagrams would be helpful, it’s easy to get lost when putting on the side pieces for the main unit. So the directions get a 2/5, someone should have checked the engineers homework before they turned it in.

Horrible customer service and broken product - do not purchase from Avenlur. I purchased the swingset in May and the slide was quite broken. I wrote to Avenlur, and they insist the slide is out of stock even though the product is for sale on their website. It’s been months. I’m having a big birthday party for my daughter in two. Weeks, and they still seem unable and indifferent about finding a way to replace it sooner. Furthermore, the pain has begun to peel off the part of the structure that I was able to put together, and black mold is forming. For such an expensive product, I would expect better quality and service. I would also expect them to do their full diligence to completely fill an order or offer a discount or refund, none of which has happened. I cannot recommend this company.

Overall we love this swingset. It wasn’t hard to put together but definitely time consuming even with a power tool, if you’re doing it by hand it will be a very timely process. And be sure to pay very close attention to orientation (it matters in most of the steps). We were frustrated getting to the end of the process about to hang the swings and the hooks you need to screw in to hang swings from did not fit in the prefabricated holes. Extremely frustrating. But now that the headaches are over for us, my 17month old is very excited and loving it. Well worth the aggravation of putting it together. We strongly debated the larger one and while this is a great size for him right now, I do think the large one would’ve been fine with more room to grow. Otherwise this was cost effective and perfect for our current needs.

The set is well made with the exception of the slide. When we pulled the slide out of the box to attach it we found it was crack in each side in the areas where the screws were to go. I haven’t contacted Avenlur yet about this but plan to do so. Otherwise, the set was well made. We did have to add some screw holes that were missing but that was no problem. Overall I am pleased but will need to replace the slide.

The slide is very steep/fast for a 2 year old so I recommend a pad at the bottom. All in all a good product and our granddaughter loves it. As she will outgrow it in 2-3 years, it should last as long as it needs to.
