Our Largest Wooden Water Table for Kids

This is our biggest water table, built for siblings, friends and classrooms. Kids pour water into two upper containers, watch it run down the channels and spin four water wheels, then scoop it back up from the main basin and start again. Side benches and a front bench give several children their own spot around the table. For one toddler or a small patio, see the wooden water table for toddlers.

Learning Through Water Play

Pouring, scooping and filling build fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Changing how fast they pour and watching the wheels speed up or slow down teaches cause and effect in a way kids can see and repeat. Add cups, funnels and bath toys for even more ways to play.

A Play Table When Water Time Ends

Set the cover over the basin and the water table becomes a flat surface for crafts, snacks and toys. Remove the cover and store it during water play.

Made for the Outdoors

The wood is sealed to handle splashes and backyard play. Storing the table in a covered area between uses and resealing the wood as the manual directs will help it last longer.

Water Play Tips

Always stay with your child during water play, and empty the basin completely when playtime ends. Young children can drown in just a few inches of water. The benches are for sitting and stepping, not for climbing on the table.

The water table has been a great way for our toddler to cool off while playing outside. She’s not yet interested in fully getting into a kiddie pool so the design of the water table is perfect. with warm days coming. This seemed to be a perfect activity for my 16 month old. However, it became very clear that this was a piece of design that was constructed to be flat packed. The assembly was, (and Speaking as a Professional woodworker,) ,tremendously burdensome. My daughter loves it. I have a little bit of annoyance with how much effort it took to assemble.
