Overall the matt is of good quality. Each panel has its own compartment for a cushion for ease of cleaning. The cushions were hard to get into the zippers. They were a bit too long to fit comfortably at first. Now that it's been put together for weeks, the foam has settled into the compartments well. I was expecting this matt to provide more padding. It could benefit from a thicker layer of foam or a different material. I have it over carpeted floor so it might be adequate for a fall, but I wouldn't put this over a hard floor if it were me.
My daughter absolutely loves this mat! It's the perfect size, adding plenty of extra room to her play area for running around and tumbling safely. The contrasting colors look fantastic, too.
