Compare Indoor Climbers: Ages, Weight Limits and Sizes
Compare Climbers
Every indoor climber looks great in photos. The differences that matter are in the numbers: the age range, how much weight it holds, how much floor it needs and whether it folds away.
Here are all of our indoor climbers side by side, from first Pikler triangles to wall mounted jungle gyms, with every spec taken from the product listings.
The short answer: for first climbs from age 1, start with the Maple or Hazel Pikler set. For toddlers from 18 months, the Cherry, Juniper and Alpine stay low and approachable. From age 2, the Magnolia, Chestnut and Sweetgum add monkey bars and swings. For the longest use, the Grove covers ages 2 to 11 and the Walnut starts at 1 year with a 220 lb per person limit.

Reading the Numbers
Three specs that matter most
Top age. The end of the age range tells you how many years a climber will keep up with your child.
Total weight. If siblings or friends will play together, the total limit matters as much as the per-child limit.
Footprint. Measure your floor, then add clear space around the slide exit and swings.

- From 2 years: Magnolia, Bush, Sweetgum Large and XL, Chestnut, Grove
