Climber Tent Covers

Climber tent covers

Climb.Hide.Read.

A tent turns a climber into a fort, a reading nook or a quiet spot. Every Avenlur tent is made for a specific climber, so here's how to find the one that fits yours.

The short answer

Find your climber in the fit chart below and order the tent listed next to it, in the matching size. Tents for the Magnolia and Sweetgum come in sizes, the Walnut tent fits the 94.5-inch standard Walnut, and the Hazel and Olive share one cotton cover. No climber yet? The Ash and Oak learning tents stand on their own.

Why add a tent

One Climber, More Ways to Play

A fort

Castles, camps and secret clubs, built in seconds over a frame kids already love.

A reading nook

A cushion and a few books inside make a cozy spot for quiet time.

A calm-down space

Somewhere a little enclosed to rest when the day gets loud.

Pretend play

A shop, a house or a spaceship, with the climber as the scenery.

Siblings together

One climbs while the other plays underneath.

Easy to change

Put it on for fort season and take it off when you want the open frame back.

Tents That Stand on Their Own

If you want a tent without a climber, two of our learning tents are complete on their own.

The Ash is a height-adjustable wooden tent with a matching desk and chair, so it works as a play tent and a small study spot. It suits ages 1 and up.

The Oak is a low wooden tent with a chalkboard panel, storage pockets and a stool, made for ages 2 to 8.

Setup tips

Getting the Most From a Tent

Match the size

Order the tent made for your exact climber and size, so it sits properly on the frame.

Secure every tie

Fasten ties as the instructions show, and tuck in loose ends so nothing hangs.

Keep doorways clear

Leave openings free so kids can get in and out easily and you can see inside.

Add something soft

A cushion or a padded mat underneath makes it a spot kids want to stay.

Stock it simply

A few books, a stuffed animal or a flashlight is plenty.

Clean it now and then

Follow the care label, and let fabric dry fully before putting it back on.

FAQs

Tent Cover Questions

Which tent fits my Avenlur climber?

Each tent is made for a specific climber and size. Use the fit chart on this page: find your climber in the first column and order the tent listed next to it, in the matching size.

Does the Magnolia tent fit both sizes?

The Magnolia Tent Covering comes in Medium and Large versions. Choose the one that matches your Magnolia. The Cocomelon tent cover is made for the Large Magnolia only.

Will the Walnut tent fit the 79-inch or Modular Walnut?

The Walnut Play Tent is made for the 94.5-inch standard Walnut. If you have the 79-inch or Modular version, contact us before ordering.

Does the Sweetgum tent come in different sizes?

Yes. There is a separate tent for the Sweetgum Large, Extra Large and Jumbo, so order the size that matches your playset.

Can kids still climb with the tent on?

On most sets, yes. Tents cover the lower part or the top of the frame, and the climbing parts stay usable. Follow each tent’s setup instructions and keep ties secured so nothing hangs loose.

Can I wash the tent cover?

Many of our tent covers are fabric or canvas that can be cleaned. The Alpine tent cover is machine washable. Check the care label on your tent before washing.

Do tents come with the climber?

No. Tent covers are sold separately, and climbers are sold without tents. The Ash and Oak learning tents are the exception, since they are standalone tents that do not need a climber.

Why add a tent to a climber?

A tent turns a climber into a fort, reading nook or quiet spot, so the same piece gets used for calm play as well as climbing.
